Susitna Place is a 4,000-square foot bed and breakfast located in a quiet, downtown Anchorage location, atop a bluff overlooking Cook Inlet. The hear of Alaska's largest cit, complete with shops, restaurants and the Coastal Trail, is nearby.

Decks provide sweeping water and mountain views. Mount Susitna, known locally as "Sleeping Lady," is framed by 6-foot windows on both levels of the bed and breakfast. Mount McKinley, other Alaska Range peaks and Aleutian Range volcanoes are visible on a clear day, beluga whales surface occasionally, and guests can watch some of the world's most extreme tides roll in and out of Knik Arm. Aurora borealis displays are possible, though rare during Alaska's bright summers.

A luxury master suite, a junior suite, three standard rooms with private baths and four rooms that share two baths accommodate virtually any budget. Summer rates start at $119 plus 12% tax. Lower rates and long-term discounts are available during winter.
